When engaging in creative work, one of the hardest things is crossing the line between “the piece is finished” and “there is still more to do.” This has certainly been the case with our upcoming full-length album, “Atlantis”. We began work on this album over 11 years ago, and during that time, we have crossed that line—between finished and unfinished—multiple times. We might consider it done, only to realise shortly after that “those parts should be re-recorded,” “that arrangement needs changing,” or something similar. Deciding that a work is truly finished can be an artist’s greatest curse!
On the bright side, however, things are looking more promising for us than they have in a long time: after pulling the album back once more for a few final tweaks, we are closer than ever to crossing that line for the last time, and we expect to have a finished album to share with you very soon.
After all, we know that some of you have been waiting a long time for “Atlantis”!
